Patricia Peterson serves the Nebraska Athletic Department as assistant director of compliance for legislation and recruiting. She joined the NU staff as a compliance assistant in the fall of 2006. Peterson helps ensure that all 24 of Nebraska’s varsity sports adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and the Big Ten Conference. A native of Omaha and a graduate of Burke High School, Peterson earned her bachelor’s degree with highest distinction in marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003. She continued her education by earning her jris doctorate from the Nebraska College of Law in 2006. She has some relatively unique insight into Cornhusker Athletics. When I last heard her speak, she was open to answer questions people had. Thus, think of something you might want to know about compliance in general, or specifically compliance for Nebraska.
