This December concert is a joint concert between Big Red Singers and the UNL Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

Vocal Jazz will be premiering an arrangement by DMA jazz composer Dave Stamps, “Dark Days” by the Punch Brothers, in addition to jazz standards such as “Nature Boy,” “Fly me to the moon,” and the Real Group tune, “Acapella in Acapulco.”

Big Red Singers will be performing a high-energy show, with arrangements of popular and less-known songs. We will feature talented soloists, exciting choreography by April James and Ben Eklund, and an outstanding cadre of instrumentalists to create a musical evening you won’t soon forget.

Then, join us in the Lied Center immediately afterwards, as Big Red Singers performs as the featured ensemble on the second half of the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Pops Concert. It’s the perennial Christmas favorite, the Grinch, as you’ve never seen it before. Tickets sell out, so get yours early!
