Dr. Zakiyyah Iman Jackson, assistant professor of English at George Mason University, presents “The Blackness of Space Between Matter and Meaning.” Jackson’s research draws upon queer studies, black feminism, and Africana philosophy. Her talk—an investigation of “the human”—maps new ontologies within the frameworks of feminist new materialism and post-humanism.
