Visual artist, photographer, and social activist Hank Willis Thomas will present “After Identity, What?”
Thomas’s work has been exhibited in venues throughout the U.S. and abroad, including the International Center of Photography and the Studio Museum in Harlem. It is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and National Gallery of Art, Washington.
Thomas’s lecture will survey his projects and themes, which aim to subvert misconceptions and singular views of individuals and histories by revealing counter narratives. His thought-provoking images inspire viewers to re-imagine their relationships to the contemporary moment.
