Mark Griep, Department of Chemistry, will present a seminar titled “Best practices for REU programs at UNL.” If you want to learn how to run an REU program (or to make your REU program run more smoothly), then this is your opportunity to ask questions.
Five REU program coordinators will talk about how many applicants their program receives, how they review those files, an outline of the non-research portion of their summer program, and what sorts of outcomes they collect so they can report them to NSF. Then they will be a panel to answer questions.
A simultaneous teleconference of this seminar will be available in 202 Hardin Hall on East Campus. Please contact Jenny.Dauer@unl.edu at least one day in advance of the seminar if you wish to participate in the teleconference. Further information on this seminar series can be obtained at: www.unl.edu/dber.
