Sydney Brown, Asst. Dir. Innovative Instructional Design will present a seminar titled: Using Techonology with Instructional Methods. This presentation will focus on technology tools supportive of scientific teaching practices such as JiTT and Peer Instruction. A demonstration will be given using a Surface Pro computer, but the instructional technique could also be accomplished with Android or iOS tablets. We will also take a look at Instructure’s Polls app that ties in with Canvas courses to offer real-time polling capabilities. The session will conclude with a look at ilos, a screen and video capture tool that also offers captioning.
