Dr. Uhn-Soo Cho, assistant professor, Department of Biological Chemistry, University of Michigan, will present the seminar “Janus-faced Sestrin2 controls Ros and mTOR signaling through two separate functional domains.”
Our main research focus is to elucidate the molecular mechanism of metabolic homeostasis at the atomic-level. Using structural biology approaches including x-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, we would like to understand how environmental stresses suppress mTORC1 activity through Sestrin2.
