“Modern Times” (1936), which features Charlie Chaplin as a naïve factory worker caught up in the cogs of big business, and “Manhatta” (1921), a short film by Paul Strand and Charles Sheeler, will provide cultural context for American modernist works on display in the permanent collection. This event is presented in collaboration with the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.
