Join us in celebrating Nebraska Bird Month and International Migratory Bird Day! Nebraska and the Great Plains are a pathway for many migratory birds, and we love our resident and visiting birds. Have fun exploring bird activities and create a crane mobile. Receive cool bird stuff provided by the Nebraska Game and Parks.

Prairie Pines welcomes the Latino community with Cultivando Outdoors Cultura—that brings fun bilingual activities. At 2 PM you can join a local bird expert on a bird walk. Or, help build houses for the only mammals that fly—bats! With the help of Master Naturalists and the Nebraska Environmental Trust, several bat houses will be built and given away to those who have an appropriate spot. If you would like a bat house, email us if you have not already done so.

Prairie Pine’s trails open from 8 am–5 pm.
Coffee and smoothies will be available for purchase in Virginia’s Garden.
Children must be accompanied by adults. Sorry no pets.
