Come hear the stories of inspiring individual’s journeys, their triumphs and challenges, and what Nebraska means to them. Lunch served at 11:30 AM with Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and vegetarian options available.

Panelists:
– Kayla Banwart joined the land of the Husker volleyball as an assistant coach in January of 2017.
– Gatluak Ramdiet is currently pursuing a degree in law. His life has been nothing short of an inspiration. Orphaned at an early age, he and his brothers found refuge in Ethiopia, eventually relocating in Omaha, NE, in 2006.
– J.Roach, also known as “Mr. Hilarious Hope,” serves as a Campus Life Director with Youth For Christ.
– Karen Bell-Dancy currently serves as the executive director of the YWCA of Lincoln.

Our Nebraska is a week-long celebration of inclusion that seeks to encourage students to learn about themselves and find strengths in individuality. Through diversity and social justice education, we seek to create a welcoming environment for all, where each person feels accepted, valued and safe.
