September is Nebraska Archeology month. Learn how archeologists find, study, and preserve earthlodge sites. Plus, we’ll explore how earthlodges were made and used by the first peoples of the plains. This program will include a demonstration of how an earthlodge would have been built. You can follow along using materials at home to learn more!

Presenters include Nolan Johnson and Kelli Bacon with History Nebraska, and Rebecca Wiewel with the National Park Service Midwest Archeological Center.

We will be streaming this program through Zoom and Facebook Live.
