A Climatological Analysis of Convective Storm Initiation

Convective storms were responsible for over 27 billion dollars in damage across North America in 2019 and are also the primary source of precipitation for the great plains of the United States. An import aspect of convective storms is their initiation, a process which is currently not well understood.
