GLAG22 is a community of educators seeking to expand global competency and global learning in agriculture. A member of that community, Dr. Vitalii Dankeyvch, Professor, Polissia National University (Ukraine) approached the Global Teach Ag Network Team about conducting an event to expand educator awareness of the agricultural implications of the war in Ukraine for curriculum connections.
This will a 60-minute seminar to increase awareness and provide opportunities for collaboration among educators. A short presentation on War in Ukraine: Global Food Challenge will be followed by conversations and sharing of instructional resources for implementation in educational contexts.
March 22nd Program Objectives
1) To provide insight to implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine to Ukrainian Agriculture.
2) To identify resources for educators to utilize in creating interdisciplinary connections to curriculum with current world geopolitical issues and Ukrainian Agriculture.
3) To catalyze conversations and collaboration in a community of educators on the conflict in Ukraine.
