Ben Moore makes two-dimensional mixed media works based on perceptions of reality and time travel. He is an associate professor of art in the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Luther College. He earned his B.A. in art from Luther College, M.F.A. in painting from the University of Iowa, and studied printmaking and drawing at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy. Moore has exhibited extensively throughout the United States. He has done guest artist talks and workshops at the University for Creative Arts in Canterbury, UK; Primary Art Centre in Nottingham, UK; Stella Maris College, the Government College of Fine Arts, and the Chomandal Artists Village in Chennai, India.

The School of Art, Art History & Design’s Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series brings notable artists, scholars and designers to Nebraska each semester to enhance the education of students. The lectures are free and open to the public.
