Curvature and perimeter are intuitive geometric concepts which can be captured using basic tools of calculus. Recent interest in phenomena and domains with irregularities has led to the introduction of new formulations of nonlocal curvature and perimeter. This new nonlocal framework allows the flexibility in real world applications where no smoothness can be expected. I will also present some recent results with Mikil Foss and Petronela Radu and discuss some open problems.
