The CASNR Teaching and Learning Improvement Council and the Center for Transformative Teaching are hosting a workshop on Mental Health. The Keynote speaker, Dr. Sarah Rose Cavanagh, draws on her background as a research psychologist to propose an educational approach focused on holding students accountable for rising to authentic challenges during their educational process and doing so compassionately, with their development as a key motivator. She is renowned for her book, “Mind Over Monsters: Supporting Youth Mental Health with Compassionate Challenge.”
