The Ross Media Arts Center and Vision Maker Media are proud to present a series of free screenings featuring short Native American films and tv programs from the VMM public broadcasting archives. Screenings in this series will take place on the second Monday of each month in 2024 and are admission free and open to the public. Visit theross.org for more information.

Showing in MAY: Storytellers of the Pacific Program 1 - Identity (1996) | A series of one-hour documentaries in which indigenous peoples of the Pacific and Pacific Rim tell their stories of culture, spirituality, histories, experiences and survival. Program 1, Identity, examines the question of how people come to have an identity. Spokespeople include Greg Sarris, chief of the Coast Miwok of California; Eni Faleomavaega, the non-voting elected Samoan representative to the U.S. Congress; native Hawaiian Dr. Noa Emmet Aluli, chairman of the Kaho’olawe Island Reserve Commission; and Angel Santos of the Chamoru people of Guam.
