The University of Nebraska- Lincoln Block and Bridle Club is requesting nominations for the 86th annual Block and Bridle Honoree. Nominations are encouraged from across the state of Nebraska for an individual who has contributed outstanding leadership and is a vital asset to the Nebraska animal industries.
We ask for your assistance in identifying deserving recipients for this prestigious award and invite you to nominate an individual whom you feel fits the criteria. Please feel free to forward nomination information to interested individuals who may have not seen this. Nomination materials must be returned to Montana Markus, Block and Bridle Banquet Chair, A103 Animal Science Department, Lincoln, NE 68583-0908, due by Friday, December 1, 2019. Remember, a new and updated application needs to be submitted for nominees to be considered; so we can identify the most deserving candidate utilizing their most current accomplishments in the animal industry.
A committee composed of the Block and Bridle Club officers, Advisors, and the Animal Science Department Head will review the nominations and make the selection. The Honoree will be presented with a special gift at the Block and Bridle Club’s Honors Banquet, where he or she will be the guest of honor. The Honoree’s portrait will be permanently displayed in the Animal Science building in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus along with the portraits of those honored in previous years. This year’s banquet will be held on Friday, April 17, 2019.
