Nebraska Extension and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Agricultural Profitability will host a land management workshop in St. Paul from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 2 at the office of Nebraska Extension in Howard County, 612 Indian St., Suite 1.
It will offer updated leasing information relevant to landlords and tenants, including tips for communication and negotiating. It will address topics like equitable rental rates, managing and adjusting farmland leases, landlord-tenant issues, pasture leasing and other management considerations.
The presentations will be led by Jim Jansen, an extension educator and agricultural economist, and Allan Vyhnalek, an extension educator specializing in farm and ranch transition and succession.
The meeting is free to attend, but registration is required with Nebraska Extension in Howard County at 308-754-5422. More information is available on the Center for Agricultural Profitability’s website, https://cap.unl.edu.
