The abstract expressionistic style of Julia Noyes focuses on energy, color, texture, and composition. Motifs include crosses, angels and spiritual themes incorporating words and hidden images.
Noyes is influenced by her travels and studies in China, Italy, Spain, Russia, Thailand, Egypt, Scandinavia, France, Ireland, Japan, Switzerland, Alaska, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany.
She received her Masters degree at University of Nebraska, Kearney and her Bachelor’s degree at Wayne State College. She has always loved teaching art workshops at all educational levels and offers classes at the Noyes Art Gallery.
