To kickoff the Lincoln Peacemakers 30th Anniversary of Peacemaking Workshops, the group is planning a celebration at the Railyard in the Haymarket on Sunday, April 3, 3-5 p.m.
They’ve teamed up with Dawn Engle, nine-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee and founder of 1 Billion Acts of Peace, who will be a keynote speaker. She’s joined by Nobel Peace prize Laureate, Jody Williams, who will Skype on a big screen and there will be a message from the Dalai Lama.
This year, the group is challenging people in the City of Lincoln to create and register 10,000 Acts of Peace on their website. Lincoln’s acts will be contributed to the Global 1 Billion Acts of Peace Initiative.
