Questions & Topics:
There is never a dearth of topics for political discussion each month, and June is no exception.

President Trump, as usual, dominates the headlines with his praise for North Korean dictator Kim Jung-un, and trashing of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, our NATO and European allies, and help in unseating in the South Carolina primary election, incumbent Republican Congressman Mark Sanford. Is there a Republican Party anymore, or is now the Party of Trump? Is it politically safe for an office-holder to either praise or criticize the president?

What can we expect from the Trump-Kim Summit? Was it a credibility enhancing stunt for Kim and a PR campaign show for Trump, or will something substantive, like saving the world from a nuclear holocaust, really result?

Sports teams refusing to visit the White House and standing for our National Anthem have become political footballs. Why?

Immigration reform, and the separating of asylum-seeking parents from their children, spurs partisan criticism.

Has the push for gun reform faded with time once again?

What about the Blue Wave? A total of 43 legislative seats in the states already have flipped to the Democrats. Will this hold to November? Nearly 50 Republicans in Congress are not running again or already have lost in primaries. Are all of Nebraska Republican incumbents safe?
