The December meeting of the OLLI Baseball Special Interest Group will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Stauffer’s Cafe & Pie Shoppe, 5600 S. 48th Street.

All OLLI Baseball fans are invited to come and participate. There is no need to register. Among the topics we’ll be talking about this month are:

New members for the Baseball Hall of Fame
It’s time to vote on new members for the Baseball Hall of Fame. First timers on the ballot include Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay, Andy Pettitte, Todd Helton, Michael Young, Miguel Tejada. Who would you vote for? Of course, Tom Adkins and I are still advocating for Edgar Martinez who’s last chance is 2019!

Adrian Beltre
Adrian Beltre retires from the Texas Rangers. Will he be a first time HOFer? Here’s his final line: .286 BA, 3,166 Hits, 477 HR, and 1,707 RBI.

Kansas City Royals
