The January meeting of the OLLI Politics Interest Group will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17 at Stauffer’s Cafe & Pie Shoppe, 5600 S. 48th Street. There is no requirement to register. All OLLI members are welcome to attend and participate.

At this month meeting, we will be talking about the 2019 session of the Nebraska Unicameral. Two OLLI members and former state senators, Kathy Campbell and DiAnna Schimek, will attend and discuss their expectations for the current session. Property tax reform, state aid to schools, implementation of Medicaid expansion, prison oversight and the state’s cash reserve balance are just some of the issues we’ll visit about.
