To avoid conflict with meeting during the holidays, the OLLI Woodworking Interest Group will meet Dec. 19. A field trip to visit Zongkers Custom Woods shop in Omaha is planned.
We will depart Stauffer’s Cafe & Pie Shoppe, 5600 So. 48 St., at 12:30 p.m. Carpooling to/from Omaha can be arranged.
In addition to producing custom work for homes and offices, co-owner Dennis Zongkers is a master carver, a marquetry specialist and builds small music boxes. His shop includes an extensive collection of tools, machinery and fabrication jigs.
