For the first time, Vision Maker Media will be hosting an online, five-week-long celebration of American Indian, Alaska Native, and worldwide Indigenous films from August 31 – October 5, 2020. Accompanying the films, the festival will host a collective of inspiring filmmakers and Native celebrities in engaging digital conversations.
• Vision Maker Media will hold the film festival on its website, visionmakermedia.org.
• Everyone is required to sign up to gain access to FREE American Indian, Alaska Native, and worldwide Indigenous films. There will be a sign-in process for users accessing the films and Q&A’s. This will allow users to visit the site multiple times with their own login information.
• The films featured will be documentary shorts, documentary features, animated shorts, dramatic features, and dramatic shorts.
• VMM will release films from each category for one (1) week starting on Monday, August 31, 2020, at 11 AM CT and ending on October 5, 2020, at 10: 59 AM CT.
• Filmmakers that are available for Q&A’s will do so on the Zoom Video Conferencing platform.
OLLI will host the film“nipawistamasowin: We Will Stand Up, ”to be shown beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept 21 through Monday, Sept 28, 11 a.m
