Dr. Mason is the Gertrude Marie Morrow-Steve Endowed Chair of Clinical Research and Senior Director of the Child and Family Translational Research Center at Boys Town. He received his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Social Psychology from the University of Nevada–Reno, and has held research and faculty positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Washington. His applied research interests include the developmental etiology and family-focused prevention of adolescent and young adult substance misuse and co-occurring problems. He also has interests in longitudinal and intervention-related methods and data analytic techniques.
