Presented by Dr. Diana Carlin, Saint Louis University (Ph.D. in Communication from UNL), professor emerita and former Associate Provost for Graduate and Global Education at SLU. Dr. Carlin created ‘Debate World’ and advised the Presidential Commission on Presidential Debates, authoring ‘The 1992 Presidential Debates in Focus’ and ‘The Third Agenda in U.S. Presidential Debates: DebateWatch and Viewer Reaction.’ She has been a consultant for the U.S. State Department and non-governmental organizations in several countries establishing political debate traditions.
