Prairie Pines Second Saturday Woodland Walk & Yoga in the Woods

10 AM: Yoga—find your yoga sense in the woods during a yoga session with Vanessa from the UNL Rec Center. A $5 donation for the class is requested. Bring your own mat.
11:30 AM: Forest Bathing—Join in on a walk on Prairie Pines trails and experience nature’s contribution to healthy living with an introduction to the Japanese concept of “forest bathing.”

Prairie Pines Nature Preserve foot trails and the kids Nature Ninja Course are open to the public every Second Saturday of the month from 8 AM-5 PM. Kinetic Brew coffee and smoothies will be available for purchase from 9 AM-1 PM, June through October. Children must be accompanied by adults. Visit for more information.

The Prairie Pines Nature Preserve is a protected area of natural interest and habitat for diverse species. It is sustained for conservation, nature experience and understanding. Created by nature and endowed by the life’s work and pleasure of Walt and Virginia Bagley, it exists on 145 acres of woodland, grassland, wetland and remnant prairie. Accompanied by the efforts of the University of Nebraska Institute of Natural Resources, Nebraska Forest Service and Prairie Pines Partners nonprofit it forever shall be, “a refuge for all living things”.
