Please join the First Year Research Experience (FYRE) and Undergraduate Creative Activities & Research Experiences (UCARE) programs to delve into the intricacies of scholarly communication, publication, and research-sharing platforms! Professor Sue Gardner and Scholarly Communications Product Specialist Linnea Fredrickson will address the following topics toward becoming a more informed and empowered participant in our academic community:
• Scholarly Communication(s):?Understand copyright, authors’ rights, and responsibilities in academic publishing.
• Starting a Conversation with Your Mentor:?Learn how to engage with faculty on publications and ask insightful questions.
• Platforms to Share Research and Creative Activity:?Explore the UNL Digital Commons, what content can be submitted, and how to do so effectively.
