Join the Nebraska Forest Service for this year’s Tree Care Workshops! Developed specifically for public works employees, landscape managers, tree board volunteers, arborists, nursery and green industry professionals and landscape enthusiasts, these workshops cover emerging issues in tree and landscape care. Participants can earn CEUs from the International Society of Arboriculture and Nebraska Arborists Association.

Program Agenda
8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Registration and coffee with a forester. Bring you questions about challenges affecting trees and landscapes.
9:00 - 10:00 a.m. The Life Stages of Trees. Planting, establishment, growth, structure, maturity and replacement.
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. How Trees Respond. Tree response to insects, pathogens and pruning.
11:00 - 12:00 Waterwise Landscapes. Waterwise solutions for more resilient landscapes.
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch
1:00 - 3:00 Root Quality & Pruning. Root production strategies; hands-on root dissection; pruning young trees for long-term structure.
3:00 - 4:00 Walking Tours. Each site will have a unique walking tour with a specific emphasis based on the location, weather permitting.

Registration : $50.00, includes lunch
A $15.00 discount is available ReTree Nebraska Ambassadors, and a $5.00 discount is available for students, Master Gardeners, tree board volunteers, NSA Inc. curators, and for members of NAA, NNLA and ISA.
