This tree and landscape tour is primarily intended for tree professionals, but tree enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to attend. The free tour will showcase one of the most diverse arboretums in the state and will include field conversations on various topics such as species selection, landscape design, emerging insect and disease threats, human-caused stresses and ecological aspects of tree planting. The tour will wrap up with an evaluation of a bur oak growing trial that compares two nursery production methods against trees grown directly from acorns. The results may surprise you.
