This talk will be geared toward those individuals who are new to our Department laboratories and new to laboratory work in general.

The talk will address General Laboratory Safety and Best Practices. Topics covered will include: Building safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical storage, chemical disposal, chemical spills, laboratory equipment safety and use, and general application of best practices in the laboratory.
