The Agricultural Research Division (ARD) / Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station (NEAES) invites faculty to submit applications for research funding to start on or after July 1, 2018. Funding for poultry science and poultry products research is provided by the Frank E. Mussehl and Inez L. Mussehl Poultry Research Fund from the University of Nebraska Foundation, consistent with the specific wishes of the donor. Research projects that address one or more topics associated with poultry management, health and well-being, behavior, nutrition, physiology, waste management, or end product (muscle or egg) uses or utilization are eligible for support. A total of $110,000 is available in 2018; thus, this program will fund two projects at up to $55,000 per project for up to two years per project. Due to limited funding, this RFA provides the last opportunity for poultry research funding from the Frank E. Mussehl and Inez L. Mussehl Poultry Research Fund.
