This workshop will build on previous workshops held to form teams around the NSF Smart & Connected Communities (SCC) program. Given the recent release of the SCC and related Cyber-Physical Systems solicitations, teams will have an opportunity to continue strengthen their initial ideas, identify additional team members, and begin the proposal development process.

Both NSF programs require proposals that include strong integrated teams that are pursuing multi-disciplinary research. Therefore, the intended audience for the workshop is researchers who are interested in advancing the technological, educational, and social sciences. The workshop should provide an excellent venue for the exchange of ideas and the formation of research teams from a highly interdisciplinary group of scientists in engineering, computing, education, outreach, and social sciences. Follow up opportunities and workshops will be made available by UNL to facilitate the continuation of team building efforts and the eventual preparation and submittal of strong, viable proposals from UNL to NSF’s SCC and CPS programs. Building of partnerships between UNL and other NU campuses is also encouraged.
