The annual MEDICI Event is tonight, November 17, from 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate MEDICI and our years of support for the School of Art, Art History & Design at the University of Nebraska. Enjoy excellent wine, delectable sweets, savory hors d’ oeuvres, and the chance to take home a wonderful work of art.
Your attendance will support the University of Nebraska School of Art, Art History & Design as it serves the ongoing needs of maturing artists.
New this year is the opportunity to purchase all works pictured at http://medici.unl.edu/2016-artists through a silent auction. Bids may be placed in Eisentrager•Howard Gallery beginning on Nov. 4 and ending at the MEDICI Event on November 17. In addition to the silent auction, there will be a gallery of artwork priced at $100 that will be sold on a first come, first served basis during the MEDICI Event on November 17. Don’t miss out!
Tickets to the event are $50 per person and can be purchased the night of or in advance at the School of Art, Art History & Design office in 120 Richards Hall. Ticket price includes drinks, delicious appetizers and desserts catered by Yes Chef. Ticket holders will be able to purchase art from the $100 room and bid on art sold via silent auction.
MEDICI is a friends group that supports the School of Art, Art History & Design at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Since its inception 23 years ago, MEDICI has raised more than $230,000 for the department. Donated funds have been used to bring visiting scholars to the campus and to purchase kilns, presses, papermaking equipment, fabrication space upgrades, catalogs, and other amenities that contribute to first-rate art educational offerings for Nebraska students.
