Are you interested in refining your field pea production system or just wanting to learn more about integrating field peas into your operation. If so, plan to attend the comprehensive Field Pea Production workshop Friday, Nov. 4, in Culbertson. A relatively new crop to commercial production in Nebraska, this workshop will cover a range of information helpful to both beginning and current producers and includes a farmer panel to learn from user experiences.

The workshop at the Ag Complex Building on Railroad Street will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Speakers will include researchers and Extension specialists from the University of Nebraska, Kansas State University, and Colorado State University. A free lunch is included, but event registration is required. The program will feature industry updates and commercial exhibits including one on use of field peas by the pet food industry. The morning will also include a small break to enjoy a breakfast cake made from pea flower.
