ELIZABETH BAQUET, B.F.A. 2012, is a Podcast Executive for Mosaic Media where she oversees development and client pitches for podcast projects in a variety of genres. Mosaic Media’s A-list roster includes Will Ferrell, Judd Apatow, Jessica Chastain and Tessa Thompson. Additionally, Baquet oversees Ninth Planet Audio, Mosaic Media’s in-house audio production company, which holds a first-look deal with iHeartRadio’s Big Money Players Network.

After graduating from Nebraska with her degree in film and new media production, Baquet became a Director of Production for Funny or Die, a production company founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. She worked on various digital web projects before moving into their television department, where she worked on shows such as IFC’s “Brockmire,” TruTV’s “Billy on the Street,” Netflix’s “American Vandal” and Comedy Central’s “@midnight” in addition to several comedy specials. Her work on “Billy on the Street,” starring comedian Billy Eichner, earned her three Emmy Award nominations, as well as a PGA Award nomination, all before she turned 30.

Before joining Mosaic Media, Baquet served as Head of Production for PodcastOne where she developed and launched dozens of successful podcasts while supervising an in-house team of producers, editors, and engineers.

She is an active member of both the Television Academy and the Producer’s Guild.

In addition to her work in traditional television and media, she also collaborates with various nonprofits and political organizations to develop digital content and events that help share their message. Most recently she has produced projects for Supermajority, Phenomenal Woman Action Campaign and the Indian American Impact Fund, but is especially proud of her work producing voter turnout content campaigns during the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential elections.

TODD WILLIAM NELSON is a Producer/Director with over 40 years’ experience in television, documentary & feature filmmaking. Since 2008, Todd’s company Braska Films, Inc has been part of Paramount Global producing the international promos and marketing for CBS Television, Paramount+, MTV, Showtime and Paramount Pictures. Previously he was a freelance producer for CBS Studios and Fox Television, and before that for five years was an executive at Walt Disney Studios.

Todd grew up in Holdrege, NE where he was active in theatre, drum major of the award-winning band, editor of the school yearbook & newspaper, and a magician with his own local TV show.

He put himself through school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a reporter for KETV News in Omaha, and graduated with honors from UNL in 1984 with a double major in Broadcast Journalism & Theatre Arts. In his four years at UNL, he starred in many productions at the Temple Building, including The Passion of Dracula, Major Barbara, and The Diviners, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor award.

He was one of 13 seniors selected to the Chancellor’s Honorary, The Innocents Society. His honors thesis project was directing the stage play Landscape With Waitress as a live lunch theatre for an audience in downtown Lincoln, and then as a teleplay produced on-location and at NETV for PBS.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Internship program selected him as one of the top 15 broadcasting students in the country and brought him to Hollywood where he was an intern on Days of Our Lives. He was a post-production assistant on the first season of The Golden Girls, then for several years was personal assistant to Director Paul Bogart on multiple miniseries, pilots and movies, including Nutcracker with Lee Remick and Tales From the Hollywood Hills with Michelle Pfieffer.

Todd directed and produced the award-winning documentary film, Surviving Friendly Fire: The Making of a Street Kids Theatre Project, which screened at over 55 film festivals worldwide. Narrated by Sir Ian McKellen, this film follows a group of homeless LGTBQ runaways as they create a stage play that forever changed their lives.

His other films include the documentary Haiti’s Helping Hands about an American medical missionary team in Haiti, and Disney’s People Behind the Magic.

In 1992, he founded The Nebraska Coast Connection, a networking alliance of over a thousand showbiz professionals with ties to Nebraska. Now celebrating their 30th anniversary, the NCC hosts The Hollywood Salon in Los Angeles on the second Monday of every month with celebrity & industry guests from all areas of entertainment and the arts.
