In partnership with Angels Theatre Company, the Department of Classics and Religious Studies will hold a staged reading of Marina Carr’s “Hecuba,” directed by Laura Lippman. “Hecuba” takes place after the Trojan War and follows the former queen of Troy as she and her daughters, now slaves to the Greeks, try to survive in a new and unfamiliar world. The reading will include members of the CLRS department, alumni of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre & Film, and faculty from Peru State College. Refreshments will be available and a talkback session will follow the performance.
