US Dept of Agriculture: Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service, VS.Recruitment.Pathways@usda.gov
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) protects the health of U.S. agriculture and natural resources against invasive pests and diseases, regulates genetically engineered crops, administers the Animal Welfare Act, and helps people and wildlife coexist. APHIS also certifies the health of U.S. agricultural exports and resolves phytosanitary and sanitary issues to open, expand, and maintain markets for U.S plant and animal products.

Veterinary Services (VS) is one of six operational programs under APHIS and is the leading veterinary authority in the country. VS commits to accomplishing its mission by protecting and improving the health, quality, and marketability of our nation’s animals, animal products and veterinary biologics by preventing, controlling and/or eliminating animal diseases, and monitoring and promoting animal health and productivity.

We invite you to join our VS Learning Session to learn about career opportunities and gain insight into the culture and daily operations of VS. In this session, we’ll also provide an overview on internship opportunities, hiring paths, benefits, resume writing tips and navigating USAJOBS.
