On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the Bob Devaney Sports Center, incoming first-year students will participate in Husker Dialogues, a diversity and inclusion event facilitated by more than 370 faculty, staff, and student conversation guides.

Husker Dialogues is designed to introduce first-year students to tools they can use to engage in meaningful conversations to help create an inclusive Husker community.

Several students will share their personal stories from campus experiences. Following the performances, all students will participate in small group discussions.
After participation in last year’s event:

87% of participating students agreed they were more aware of diversity in the campus community.
82% of participating students felt more included in the campus community.
84% of participating students felt more confident in their ability to discuss issues regarding diversity and inclusion.
