Description:  Explore the ins and outs of Modern Quilting! No experience necessary for this workshop. Our day will start by learning about the different characteristics that make modern quilts modern. There will be lots of modern quilts to see! Participants will then learn the basics of sewing an accurate 1/4” seam while assembling 4-patch blocks for a group charity quilt. Campers will also try their hands at improvisational piecing and either hand or machine quilt their work. These improv pieces will be used to make a pincushion, small pouch, pillow or other small project.
Please bring: Supplies will be provided. … all sewing machines and general sewing supplies will be available for use during this workshop.
Needed: **3 parent/grandparent helper positions are needed for this workshop
Ages:  Boys and Girls *4-H ages 8 to 18
Class size:  Maximum of 10 youth
