Discover some chemistry basics using common items found in your kitchen. Prepare a tasty treat as we learn about the scientific method and test our hypotheses! Having help from an older sibling or adult is recommended.

Materials needed: Measuring spoons, measuring cups, sugar, half and half, vanilla extract, salt, two sandwichsize sealable bags, two gallon-size sealable bags, eight cups of ice cubes, small towel.
