Eric Thompson, UNL economist and the director of the Bureau, will discuss trends in entrepreneurial activity in Nebraska over the last five years, utilizing data from the State Entrepreneurship Index. The index tracks progress in both business starts, business counts, patent activity and the earnings of entrepreneurs. Past research has found that Nebraska is home to high earning entrepreneurs but the state has a less robust business start rate. The webinar will discuss whether these trends have continued in the years 2014 and 2015.
