This webinar summarizes the research output of the 2017-18 Bureau of Business Research Scholars, a group of select undergraduate students who conduct original economic research. Research will be presented on 1) the sources of metropolitan growth in information technology and other high wage service industries, 2) factors which influence transitions from unemployment to employment, and 3) housing price forecasts for Nebraska communities.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts during the Q&A session.

About the Speaker:
Mitchel Herian
Mitchel Herian serves as the senior research associate with the Nebraska Bureau of Business Research. Dr. Herian has conducted a wide range of applied research projects for federal, state, and local agencies. His research has received support from the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Justice, and the Bureau of Justice Assistance. Dr. Herian has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, published journals including the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, American Review of Public Administration, Policy Studies Journal, and State and Local Government Review.
