The Office of Global Exchange at the College of Education and Human Sciences is hosting Dine & Discover at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 27 at Amins Kitchen Iraqi Market and Bakery at 850 N. 27th St. All CEHS faculty, staff and guests are welcome.
Each person is responsible for their own bill. Average meal cost is approximately $10. Menu favorites include:
SIDES
• Baba ganoush (v)
Mashed, cooked eggplant mixed with tahini (puréed
sesame seeds), olive oil, and various spices
• Hummus (v)
Puréed chickpeas and tahini with lemon juice and spices
• Fatoosh (v)
Bread salad made from toasted flat bread, mixed greens and vegetables
ENTREES
• Falafel (v)
Spiced mashed chickpeas formed into balls and deep-fried
• Chicken Tikka
Small pieces of marinated, boneless chicken breast
• Iraqi kabab
Minced chicken/lamb grilled on skewers
• Biryani
Rice and meat cooked and flavored with spices
• Beef shawarma
Thin cuts of marinated beef
