Ross Westemeyer, Ph.D. candidate in human sciences (speech-language pathology), will present his dissertation titled, “Neuroplastic and Behavioral Effects of Skill- and Strength-Based Swallowing Rehabilitation.” This is the culmination of Ross’s work in the Sensorimotor Integration for Swallowing and Communication (SISC) Lab, bringing together neuroimaging and behavioral measures to help illuminate how the brain may recover from neurologically based swallowing disorders. The presentation is open to the public.
