Dr. Jenni Alisaari is a university lecturer in the University of Stockholm and a senior researcher in the University of Turku. She holds a Ph.D. in pedagogy (University of Turku, 2016), and a title of adjunct professor in Finnish language (University of Helsinki, 2021). Alisaari has worked as a teacher since 2002, first as a primary school teacher and as a Finnish as a second language teacher for ten years and then in teacher education for other ten years. Her research focuses both on linguistically responsive praxis and minoritized students’ learning and well-being. In recent years, she has also researched students’ sense of belonging and school atmosphere.
