Dr. Frese is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Nevada, Reno.
His research focuses on understanding how microbe-diet interactions alter, degrade, or enhance host health, with a particular emphasis on infant health and nutrition. He is especially interested in understanding how the gut microbiome, and members of this community with long-term evolutionary relationships with their host animals, interact and reciprocally shape gut health and development.
