Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) is a standardized Chinese proficiency test to measure the ability of non-native Chinese speakers to communicate in Chinese in daily life, academic and working settings. It is officially administered by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Han ban) in Beijing, China. The test result is used to select participants for Confucius Institute Scholarships and the Summer Camp candidates. In addition, it is a plus for career building.

The Confucius Institute (CI) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is a test center for HSK and holds the test twice each year. Any person interested is welcome to register and participate in the test. The upcoming test at the UNL Confucius Institute is on Saturday, April 22, 2017. (Central Time 9:00 am & 1:30 pm)

HSK consists of 6 levels. Each candidate can select a suitable level to register. The test fee for each level is different. (See the website below.)
